In the spirit of being economical, this year dancers will create their own costumes for the 2105 winter showcase, “Nutcracker Dream”. Below is the list of colors each class is to wear. Please use this list as your guide when creating your dancers costume. Our hope is that you will already have many of the items your dancer will wear during the show. If you do have to purchase something it should be a clothing item that can be worn during dance class.
(FYI: Spring 2016 recital costumes will still be ordered from professional costume companies. These costumes are more expensive and the winter showcase “economical” costumes are meant to offset the higher cost of recital costumes.)
If you have questions, please ask your dance instructor.

Brianna Elkin
Cheerleading, Hip Hop
Brianna Elkin began her passion for cheerleading and dance at the young age of 2. Born and raised in Florida, this gave her the opportunity to cheer at a local recreational division team. She fell in love. The 3 hour a day practices, 5 days a week really paid off.
After 13 amazing years of cheering, at the age of 17, she began her love for Hip Hop right here in Winter Park, FL at NRG Dance Studio with Mrs. Nichole. Brianna had the pleasure of dancing and cheering for NRG from 2013-2015. She was able to share her love for her sport, while also connecting with her team through dance. Now, as an instructor, Ms. Bre plans to inspire the new, returning and upcoming students through dance and/or cheer, while having fun!
Mira Lines
Ballet/Tap
Mira Lines began dancing at NRG-Dance Studios in 2011 soon after it opened, as one of the studio’s first students. She has been a dedicated member of the competition team at NRG-Dance for 3 years and a team captain for 2 years. She has danced in all four NRG recitals. She has 3 years of experience as an assistant dance teacher. She has trained in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, and Pointe. She hopes to attend Rollins College in the Fall of 2016 to study Biology and of course… Dance! Miss Mira is very excited to share her love of dance with her NRG dance students.
Emily Marshall
Ballet/Tap
Emily’s passion for dance began at a young age. As a child she was always making up dance routines for her and her friends and performing them for her family. At around age 12 Emily decided to take a dance class for the first time to see if she enjoyed it, and she immediately fell in love. NRG Dance Studios is where her love of learning dance and performing began, and where it continues to grow. This year will mark Emily’s 4th year of dancing, as well as her 4th year of competing. Her past 3 years on the NRG Competition Team has allowed her to grow as a dancer, as well as a teammate and leader. Excited for the 2015-2016 dance season, she cannot wait to pass her love and passion for dance on to her students.
