The 59th Annual Winter Park “Ye Olde Hometown” Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 3, 2011, this Saturday. The parade will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Our line up time is 8:00 a.m and we are group # 13 (see map).
Many streets are barricaded and the traffic formation area will be very congested. Entrance to the formation area is at the intersection of Webster Avenue and New York Avenue. This is a change from previous years. To access the formation areas please follow the following directions. From Orlando Avenue travel east to the intersection of Webster Avenue and New York Avenue. This will be the only route into the parade formation area. Only parade vehicles/floats will be permitted past the barricade. Other participants should be dropped off outside of the formation area and walk to the designated formation site. Parking can be found in the Park Place parking garage off Canton Avenue and in the municipal lot on Morse Blvd as well as any available public parking adjacent to the parade route.
A child pick up location has been established for small children. The location will be available in the south parking lot of City Hall and available after the parade for parents to pick up their children participants. No parking will be allowed at this location as it is a pick up only area. If your child is not at the location you will be asked to re circulate until such time as your child is finished with the parade. You must stay with your vehicle to ensure an orderly pickup for all small children. Entrance to the parent pick up location at City Hall can be accessed from the Lyman Avenue entrance only! City hall is located at 401 S. Park Avenue.
Also, the dance studio will be closed for the holidays between December 19th and January 5th. Classes will resume on Monday, January 9th 2012.
